COME VISIT!

BY AGE, FICTION and NON FICTION

BY AGE, FICTION and NON FICTION

Children are always welcome to come to the library and enjoy the age appropriate items. Of course, families are encouraged to borrow items for 2 week periods.  The family

would complete a membership form and the sky's the limit to enjoying any item in the collection!

BY AGE, FICTION and NON FICTION

For ages 0-2 years, available items include cardboard books, language development books, mega blocks and fine motor wooden toys.

For pre school children, items include popular authors, reading readiness books, math readiness books and phonemic awareness books.

For kindergarten age children, items  include early readers with sight word development and phonological development. Available are many thematic books and beautiful picture books.  The library also offers French books!

As children begin developing higher reading skills, books are shelved according to an identified Reading Level (RL).  First chapter books are located on the lower shelves of the first aisle stack.  Chapter books with RL 3, RL 4 etc are located in the Junior Fiction alcove (books are currently being reorganized but they are nonetheless available).  Classic chapter books will be found as well as current hot series.

The collection entices the middle school reader as well as the early high school reader. The collection’s genres include the comic type and non-fiction Books.

BOOK BAGS

SPECIALTY ITEMS

SPECIALTY ITEMS

A librarian will be most happy to put together an assortment of items to be taken away in a personalized BOOK BAG. Should a family/child be limited with time, an email to the library could be written and items could be requested.  The email should give the child’s name, age and interests which would act as a guide to item selection. The email should also make reference to the manner of pick up. The BOOK BAG would then be prepared. Email walkerspointlibrary@gmail.com
