WALKER’S POINT LIBRARY JULY /13
Welcome to summer. Your library now has a catalogue on the computer of the collection. This will enable you to find whether we have the book you want, and if it is out to put a hold on the book for you. In order to have this work well we will require a second computer. We have had this request accepted under a grant program of the District of Muskoka and we will be adding a new computer to the library.
The Township of Muskoka Lakes Council has once again agreed to match the dollars of any money we raise. Not only do we appreciate this financial support but the positive comments for our community service were delightful to hear. Thanks to all of you for your support.
The children’s program will be running again his year starting at 1:00 on Wednesday July 10 and then every Wednesday in July. We have seen an increase in the number of children’s books being taken out. This might be an indication that our excellent collection of children’s books is being recognized and may will result in an increase at the Wednesday program. Registration for the program is at the library or by contacting Joan Davey by email @ firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 705 687 9332.
WPCL second annual birthday celebration will be on July 27, the same day as the Community Centre spaghetti dinner. Volunteers are planning to deliver flyers to you again this year so we hope to see you there.
We have new books for your summer reading arriving each week so please drop in and see what we have…
