The Walker’s Point Community Library serves permanent and seasonal residents of Walker’s Point and its surrounding area. The library is conveniently located east of Hwy 169 (#30) and within the Walker’s Point Community Centre; its address is 1074 Walker’s Point Rd.

Services
The library provides access to one laptop, one iPad and wireless high speed internet. The Wifi that is available now serves both the library as well as the Rec Hall. To connect from inside or outside the building, look for the public MLSHotspot option and follow the easy steps to connect. Printing is always available. All users of the Library’s resources, both volunteers and patrons, are expected to use these resources correctly and for legal purposes only.

Library History

The library opened in September 29. 1990 as a branch of the Muskoka Lakes Public Library system. In April 2011, The Muskoka Lakes Public Library Board made the decision to close Walker’s Point library.The Walker’s Point community sprang into action and as a result the Walker’s Point Community Library opened on June 28, 2011 as a volunteer – run library.
