Library Cards and Borrowing
If you are a full time or seasonal resident of Walker’s Point or surrounding area you can get a free library card that will allow you to borrow from our extensive collection of fiction and non-fiction books (adults, youth and children), periodicals, compact discs, audio books, videos, and DVDs. Just come in to the library, meet our friendly volunteers, and sign up. It’s easy and free!
How many items can you borrow? There is no limit on the number of books, audio books or materials that you can borrow from the library; however our newest materials may be subject to a limitation on both quantity and time, depending on demand.
What is the loan period on the item that you borrow? The loan period on books/audio books is two weeks. DVDs may be borrowed for 3 days. During the winter season the two week/ 3 day periods may be extended upon request
Overdue fines: If the items you have borrowed are not returned by the due date a late fee is normally applied. Inter Library loan late fee is $1.00 per day with no maximum.
You are responsible for all materials borrowed on your card. The card holder will be responsible to replace lost or damaged books.
Simply by becoming a member of the library and using its services, you are supporting a valuable community service. If you would like to become more involved, you might consider joining our fantastic group of dedicated volunteers. Volunteering a few hours when the library is open or when events and/or programs are being offered would greatly help.
